already knew they were fine from previous experience. This experience was that I looked for it on my phone or my computer. Could one of these new hands-free devices magically give me the answer, no typing required? Google Home could and did. Hands-free answers, even for difficult questions As a longtime Amazon Echo owner, I've learned that its Alexa assistant usually can't handle complex questions. It taught me not to even ask. But with Google Home, each success gave me more and more confidence to ask more questions, a positive reinforcement loop
and a real benefit for the product. A real intensive interrogation happened when my family was watching TV last week. An advertisement was launched for the fax number list Kia Soul EV-e, a small electric car. We were looking for electric cars and didn't realize that Kia had made one. My wife wondered how many miles per gallon (or electrical equivalent) they had and the range. We paused the television and asked our assistants, who could hear us from the living
room: I was quite impressed. For my family, it was just a challenge to prove that Google Home could be perplexed with more questions. My son, who had been working on the homework earlier, asked how to calculate 'percentage abundance', which is something in chemistry I've long forgotten and I'm grateful I don't need to know now . Google Home has understood this; Alexa did not.
